# Foudre AI

> Schema-grounded, multi-agent vintage-quality and risk intelligence for
> Left-Bank Bordeaux, built on real climate data (ECMWF Copernicus ERA5 +
> SEAS5) rather than vibes. Aimed at vineyard operators (operational risk) and
> the wine trade (allocation and pricing decisions).

Foudre scores a vintage for the 61 Left-Bank 1855-classed châteaux (Médoc +
Pessac-Léognan) by combining climate, terroir, market sentiment, and regulation
through a multi-agent pipeline grounded in a 1,150-line wine-vintage-quality
schema. For historical vintages it also backtests its prediction against
critic + market scores extracted from public-web sources, with source links.
Right-Bank and Burgundy are on the roadmap. Foudre is currently in
private/closed beta.

## What Foudre does, step by step

1. weather_agent reads DEM-downscaled ERA5 historicals (1990–2024) + SEAS5
   seasonal ensemble (2026 forecast) — bundled CSVs, no request-time network call.
2. geo_agent + tavily_agent add terroir and public-web market/regulation signals.
3. extraction synthesises the evidence against the wine-vintage-quality schema.
4. feature produces the numeric score, drivers, executive summary, and report.
5. backtest (historical vintages only) compares the prediction to AI-extracted
   critic + market scores with source links, and emits a directional verdict.

## Coverage and limits (facts)

- Live regions: Médoc (bordeaux-medoc) and Graves & Pessac-Léognan (bordeaux-graves).
- Châteaux: the 61 Left-Bank 1855-classed estates.
- Climate source: ECMWF Copernicus ERA5 (1990–2024) + SEAS5 (2026) + NASA POWER (2025 backfill).
- Access: private/closed beta — login-gated app; the blog and legal pages are public.
- LLM providers (configurable): OpenAI (default), Anthropic, Qwen, DeepSeek, Ollama.

## What Foudre is NOT

- Not a wine-buying or e-commerce platform — it does not sell, price, or broker
  wine; it produces a quality/risk forecast you act on elsewhere.
- Not a critic-score aggregator — the backtest extracts publicly-stated scores
  only to verify its own prediction, not to republish ratings databases.
- Not a real-time weather service — climate inputs are bundled reanalysis +
  seasonal-forecast datasets, not live observations.
- Not coverage beyond the Left-Bank yet — Right-Bank and Burgundy are on the
  roadmap; out-of-coverage regions return "no data coverage" rather than a guess.
- Not financial or investment advice — outputs are decision support, provided
  "as is", and require human review.

## Privacy and data handling

Self-hosted, cookieless analytics (Umami) — no Google Analytics, no third-party
trackers. Account data, search history, leads, and feedback are stored in a
first-party database. AI calls to OpenAI/Anthropic are not used to train their
models per the providers' API terms. See https://foudreai.com/privacy.

## Language and locale

English (default) and French. Single-domain; no per-locale URL paths yet.
